Key points highlighted by the Judge in their summary – The lift contractor’s failure to provide suitable Risk Assessment and Method Statements in carrying key elements of the work.
Expert Witness Case 2
Case 2 – Lift user injured – A person when entering the lift tripped and fell into the lift used by the general public. This resulted in an injury to their shoulder and hip.
Key points highlighted by the Judge in their summary – The lift owner failed to provide suitable Risk Assessment, which would have highlighted the lift’s existing car levelling system was classified as high risk.
